Marilou Rivera

Marilou Rivera is a Puerto Rican-American poet, writer, and educator from the Bronx, New York. Through poetry and personal reflection, she writes about the moments that shape us — healing, faith, love, loss, resilience, and the quiet beauty found within becoming. Her words are rooted in honesty, emotional depth, and the belief that even the softest voices can leave a lasting impact.

Her writing explores themes of identity, hope, womanhood, personal growth, and the human experience. Inspired by life, faith, family, culture, and the emotions often left unspoken, she hopes her work creates a space where readers feel understood, encouraged, and a little less alone.

Marilou holds an Associate's degree in Journalism and a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Media, and is currently pursuing a Master's in Science of Education as she devotes herself to teaching.
